Precision Match. Not a CV Pipeline.

We don't send CVs. We identify the cybersecurity expertise that fits your programme, then integrate it into your team under Optiwisers governance. Boutique precision. Hub-scale capacity. Same senior security bench whether you need a single Zero Trust architect, a full NIS2 or DORA readiness squad, a DevSecOps pipeline programme or long-term SOC AMS coverage. Browse by role below, or tell our Cybersecurity team the outcome you're chasing.

Nearshore Delivery. EU-Compliant. Time-Zone Aligned.

Delivered nearshore from Portugal at 40 to 60% below UK, Swiss and German cybersecurity integrator rates. EU-compliant, GDPR, NIS2 and DORA-aligned, same time-zone as your team. Individual security consultants in one to two weeks. Squads in three to four. Every profile meets our five delivery standards: Validated Profiles, Structured Onboarding, Embedded Governance, Delivery Standards, Reporting & Control. Agility with structure. We move fast. But never blindly. Response within one business day.

Every Cybersecurity Consultant Role on Our Bench

Seven cybersecurity consultant roles grouped by three enterprise security realities: identity and access as the primary perimeter, preventive security engineering across cloud, application and pipeline, and always-on detection and response. Each role is delivered nearshore from Portugal as an individual specialist, a dedicated team, a managed team or an application management engagement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about hiring Optiwisers cybersecurity and IAM consultants.

What cybersecurity and IAM roles do Optiwisers consultants cover?
+

Optiwisers covers seven cybersecurity consultant roles across three enterprise security realities. Identity, Access & Zero Trust: IAM consultants (Okta, Entra ID), Zero Trust architects, Integration security & access governance engineers. Cloud, Application & Pipeline Security: Cloud security engineers, Application security engineers, DevSecOps engineers. Detection & Incident Response: SOC/SecOps analysts. AI security engineers (prompt injection defence, model red-teaming) live under our AI & ML hub because the discipline is distinct from general cybersecurity.

Do you cover NIS2 and DORA compliance?
+

Yes. NIS2 has been in force since the October 2024 transposition deadline with the grace period effectively ended by February 2026, and DORA has been applicable to financial entities since 17 January 2025. Both frameworks impose specific obligations that map to our bench: DORA Article 6 (ICT risk management framework), Article 19 (24-hour incident notification), Article 26 (threat-led penetration testing) and Articles 28-31 (third-party ICT service provider risk). NIS2 obligates strong access controls, incident detection and supply-chain security. A typical readiness programme combines a Zero Trust architect with an IAM consultant, a cloud security engineer and a SOC analyst under one delivery lead, mobilised in three to four weeks.

Do you cover Zero Trust architecture?
+

Yes. Zero Trust architects are one of the seven roles on our bench, and Zero Trust work is central to almost every NIS2, DORA and CISA-aligned programme in 2026. Typical scope covers Zero Trust Maturity Model assessment across the five pillars (identity, device, network, application, data), micro-segmentation design, continuous verification patterns, least-privilege enforcement and roadmap sequencing for enterprises moving from perimeter-based security. Multi-discipline engagements combine Zero Trust architects with IAM consultants for the identity pillar and cloud security engineers for the network and application pillars.

Which countries do Optiwisers cybersecurity consultants deliver to?
+

We deliver nearshore to enterprises across the UK, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and the Nordics. Delivery originates from our EU-based hub in Portugal, giving clients time-zone alignment across all these markets and EU-compliant delivery under GDPR, NIS2 and DORA (particularly relevant for regulated sectors such as banking, insurance, healthcare, energy and critical infrastructure). We also serve Iberian clients in Portugal and Spain, and support US clients on SOC application management engagements where remote delivery models fit.

How quickly can we get cybersecurity consultants started?
+

Time to mobilise depends on the engagement model. Individual Specialists on Time & Materials typically start within one to two weeks of scope confirmation. Dedicated Teams stand up within three to four weeks. Managed Teams and Application Management engagements are structured over four to six weeks. Niche roles (specific vendor certifications, sector-regulated experience such as banking or critical infrastructure, senior Zero Trust architects) require an additional two to three weeks for sourcing and validation. We work from a pre-validated bench across the seven cybersecurity roles. And we respond to every enquiry within one business day.

What's the difference between IAM consultants, Zero Trust architects and cloud security engineers?
+

IAM consultants own identity and access management platforms: Okta, Entra ID, SailPoint, CyberArk. Their work centres on how humans and workloads authenticate and what they get access to. Zero Trust architects own the reference architecture that ties identity, device, network, application and data controls into a coherent security model. Their work centres on the architecture itself: the tools that implement it belong to the IAM and cloud security engineers underneath. Cloud security engineers own posture management and runtime protection inside cloud environments: CSPM tooling, CNAPP platforms, cloud IAM hardening. Their work centres on the cloud attack surface. Most enterprise programmes combine all three, with the Zero Trust architect on top setting the architectural direction that IAM and cloud security engineers implement.

Do you provide SOC and detection operations?
+

Yes. SOC/SecOps analysts are one of the seven roles on our bench and typically deliver through the Application Management engagement model. Coverage spans Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Google SecOps and AWS Security Hub, with SIEM tuning, SOAR playbook development, threat hunting, IR runbook design, tabletop exercises and DORA-aligned 24-hour incident notification workflows. Dedicated SOC teams provide continuous coverage under defined SLAs with backup coverage and shared knowledge base. Advisory-only SOC engagements (SIEM strategy, detection engineering programmes, tooling selection) run on Individual Specialists or Dedicated Teams.

Do you cover penetration testing and threat-led penetration testing (TLPT)?
+

Penetration testing sits with our application security engineers for application-layer testing (web, mobile, API) and with cloud security engineers for cloud-layer testing (posture assessment, workload security review). DORA Article 26 threat-led penetration testing (TLPT) is a specialised discipline typically delivered by a joint squad combining AppSec, cloud security and Zero Trust architects, structured around the TIBER-EU framework where clients are subject to European Central Bank oversight. This is a multi-discipline scope rather than a single-role engagement, and it usually runs alongside a broader DORA readiness programme.
