Precision Match. Not a CV Pipeline.

We don't send CVs. We identify the software engineering expertise that fits your product, then integrate it into your team under Optiwisers governance. Boutique precision. Hub-scale capacity. Every engineer uses AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) under a documented delivery methodology, keeping the senior judgment that separates real engineering from what the industry calls vibecoding. Browse by role below, or tell our Software Engineering team the outcome you're chasing.

Nearshore Delivery. EU-Compliant. Time-Zone Aligned.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about hiring Optiwisers software engineers.

What software engineering roles do Optiwisers consultants cover?
+

Optiwisers covers eight software engineering roles across three buyer decisions. Web & Full-Stack Engineering: Frontend developers (React, Angular, Vue), Backend developers (Java, .NET, Python, Node), Full-stack developers (meta-framework and BaaS patterns). Mobile Development: React Native, Flutter, Native mobile (iOS/Swift, Android/Kotlin). Design & Quality Engineering: UX/UI designers and design engineers, QA and test automation engineers. DevOps, cloud, data, AI/ML and SAP developer roles have their own dedicated hubs.

How do you handle AI-assisted development without falling into vibecoding?
+

Vibecoding is the industry warning term for AI-assisted development without governance: engineers accepting AI-generated code without verification, shipping faster with more defects, security regressions and licensing exposure. Our engineers use AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) under a documented delivery methodology: AI-generated code goes through the same code review, static analysis, security scanning and test coverage gates as human-written code, and senior engineers review architectural decisions rather than accepting the first AI suggestion. The productivity gain from AI-assisted development compounds when you keep the senior engineering judgment on top; it erodes when you skip it. This is the actual differentiator in 2026 nearshore work, beyond the traditional location and rates questions.

Which countries do Optiwisers software engineers deliver to?
+

We deliver nearshore to enterprises across the UK, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and the Nordics. Delivery originates from our EU-based hub in Portugal (ranked alongside Poland and Romania as top European nearshore destinations), giving clients time-zone alignment across all these markets and EU-compliant delivery under GDPR. We also serve Iberian clients in Portugal and Spain, and support US clients on software application management engagements where the H-1B pathway has narrowed and remote nearshore delivery fits better than domestic hiring.

How quickly can we get software engineers started?
+

Time to mobilise depends on the engagement model. Individual Specialists on Time & Materials typically start within one to two weeks of scope confirmation. Dedicated Teams stand up within three to four weeks and reach productive sprint velocity within four to six weeks when onboarding includes architecture context alongside ticket access. Managed Teams and Application Management engagements are structured over four to six weeks depending on scope and coverage window. Niche stacks (Flutter with custom rendering, .NET 9 with specific vertical integration, senior React Native architects) require an additional two to three weeks for sourcing and validation. And we respond to every enquiry within one business day.

What is your take on React Native vs Flutter for cross-platform mobile?
+

Both are strong. React Native fits teams already invested in React on the web, since a lot of engineering, tooling and design system work carries over. The New Architecture (Fabric, TurboModules) has matured. Flutter fits teams that want pixel-consistent UI across platforms and access to the Impeller rendering engine for performance-sensitive graphics. Both platforms handle 90% of enterprise mobile requirements. The remaining 10% (complex media, deep hardware integration, App Store or Play Store features that lag behind native) is where our native iOS and Android developers take over. Multi-platform product teams often combine one cross-platform framework for the main app with native modules for the platform-specific parts.

Can you take over an existing product codebase mid-flight?
+

Yes. Codebase takeover is one of the most common engagement patterns, particularly when an internal team is being restructured, a previous nearshore partnership is ending, or a founding technical team has moved on. Typical intervention starts with a two to four week architecture assessment on Time & Materials: senior engineers audit the codebase, document architectural decisions and identify the technical debt that needs immediate attention versus the debt that can be scheduled. From there, the engagement scales into a Dedicated Team or Managed Team depending on how much ownership you want to retain internally.

Do you cover design system work end-to-end (Figma to Storybook to production)?
+

Yes. Design system work is where our UX/UI designers, design engineers and frontend developers combine most often. Typical scope covers design token architecture in Figma, component library implementation in React/Angular/Vue with Storybook documentation, accessibility conformance (WCAG 2.2), design-to-code pipelines and enterprise adoption governance. This is a specialised discipline distinct from ad-hoc component work: enterprise design systems succeed or fail based on the governance model as much as the technical implementation.

What test automation and QA coverage do you provide?
+

Our QA and test automation engineers cover web test automation (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium), API testing (REST Assured, Postman/Newman), performance testing (k6, JMeter), accessibility testing (axe-core, Pa11y) and mobile test automation (Appium, Maestro). Shift-left QA practices integrated into CI/CD pipelines, contract testing (Pact) for microservices estates, and visual regression testing (Percy, Chromatic) for design system work. SAP-specific test automation (TOSCA, Tricentis for SAP) sits under our SAP hub rather than here because the tooling and delivery model differ.
